Oreo Mum Cookie Flowers

I have been on an Oreo Cookie overload the past few weeks. However, I don’t think that you really mind… I mean, they’re Oreos for crying out loud. Who doesn’t love Oreos? They are like my Kryptonite. If they are in the house, I eat them. I can’t stash them in the back and pretend that they aren’t there. Who does that?

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring, and I don’t know about you, but I am so ready for the warmth, the flowers, the birds, my garden; basically everything SPRING! I love it when I walk around and see all the bulbs pushing up through the dirt. I have a lot of work to do in the yard and I just need a few days to get into the 60’s, to get out there and get it done.

In the meantime, I’ll have to settle for these Cookie Flowers.
They are very easy to make. Grab your kid and your supplies and get to blooming!
You’ll need some Pink Oreos, Mini Marshmallows, Sprinkles and Popsicle Sticks. Oh, and a little bit of melted candy wafers to help it all stick together.

Basically, you’ll cut the marshmallows in half diagonally and dip the sticky cut side into the sprinkles. Make a bunch of these and set them aside.
Eat a few Oreos for some Quality Control testing. That’s very important. Make sure that you can twist off half the cookie leaving the cream behind.
Use a little bit of melted candy to attach the popsicle stick, then add on the decorated marshmallow halves.

    So easy and so fun!
I totally left a few uneaten to brighten up the table for a few days. They were a little bit of extra sunshine on a dreary winter day.
I just want Spring to come! I’m tired of being cold!

I hope that wherever you are that Spring finds you soon!
