I’m kinda stuck on these bunny ears.
The obsession started last year when I made my Easter Chicks. I fell in love with the animals that were pretending to be bunnies. I just think they are so cute.
So, today I made some Spring Blue Birds. And then I gave them Ears! Haha!

Here are the steps to make them –
Roll your cake pop balls and place them into the fridge.
Melt White and Blue Candy Melts and get some Candy Coated Sunflower Seeds, Mini Chips, and Flower Sprinkles.
Dip your stick into the candy melt and then insert it half way into the cake ball. Dip the sunflower seed into the candy then stick them to the sides of the pop as shown. Complete all the pops.
Dip the pop into the white candy coating it completely. Set stand to dry. Complete all the pops.
Get your blue candy melts and roll the pops from wing to wing. This should give you a nice curved chest. You could also dip at angles to get straight lines, but I liked the curve instead. Add a little beak while the candy is wet.
use a toothpick to add a dot of white to glue on the feet.

Once they are all done, melt some Chocolate. Use a toothpick to add on eyes. I tried to give some of them eyelashes, but I don’t think it worked very well.
For the ears, get some Peeps Bunnies and cut off their ears. Eat the bodies 🙂
Use the chocolate to make a headband and attach the ears.

    And you’re DONE!
Aren’t they cute? I loved them. You can stop at the bird and not do the ears if you really don’t want to. I thought they were just too adorable!

I’d also like to take a minute to say Thank You to Cake Pop Stand Co. Janine from Sugar Kissed is the developer behind the cake pop stands. Her and her husband make them and sell them. Check out the website for sizes, prices and ordering a specialty stand to fit your needs.
They are offering a 15% discount to NEW orders. Please use the discount code PINT15 when checking out. This offer expires June 30, 2014!  This was the cute 8 pop stand that they sent to me! I love my name on it!
