Merry Christmas!

My Daughter and I have been in Kona, Hawaii since Dec 10th!

I grew up on Oahu and moved away when I started college. The last time I celebrated Christmas with my mom was in 1995 (I think). So, this is my daughter's first Christmas in Hawaii with her Gramma and Papa! She's a very lucky girl to have been to Hawaii before, just not for Christmas.

Here she is at the Airport getting ready to leave the cold and nasty East Coast weather for the warm Hawaiian sunshine! It's a long trip to the West coast and then on to the islands, but once you get there, it's so worth it!

Apple Chips

I'm always looking for something fast, easy and yummy for my family. When it's Healthy, that's even better! With all of the holiday Cookies starting to get passes around, I made some Apple chips instead.

Fun-Da-Middles Candy Cane Cupcakes

Have you seen the new Betty Crocker Fun-Da-Middles in the grocery store?? I've seen them, but wasn't too impressed initially. But then I got into this Candy Cane fix and thought about adding Candy Cane crumbs into the center filling for special holiday treat! It turned out great! 

Snowflake Cake Pops

A freaky thing happened in October... It snowed!! I wasn't ready for snow before Halloween! 

Now that it's December, I'm ready for some winter weather.

Cupcake Snow-Couple

These were so fun and easy to make! I followed the directions (with a few modifications) from 

"Hello, Cupcake"! 

Bake some vanilla cupcakes in white liners in both regular and mini sizes.

I didn't have any coconut on hand, so I used some white pearls instead. 

Mocha Chocolate Chip Cookies

So, the other day I had my recipe and was getting ready to bake something special. It never got made, because I messed up the ingredient amounts and needed to find a new recipe that accommodated what I already had in the mixer.... so I made these Yummy Mocha Chocolate Chip Cookies!
